Sheena Grant provides administrative support to the Empowr team; seeking grants, donations, and resources for the students of the program. Sheena is a Senior Marine Underwriter that has worked for over a decade within the insurance sector. She has a strong understanding of business operations and its administrative involvement. She believes Empowr’s software development program will enhance the quality of life of many minority youth within the city of Atlanta.

Rejoice and community are synonymous. She grew up understanding the importance of activism and volunteering. As a charismatic and strategic leader, she works to build community programming that brings people together.

John spent the majority of his childhood overseas, learning about different communities all over the world. He was able to understand the importance of togetherness and the impact a few can make. With his natural charisma and understanding, he works to ensure Empowr continuously serves the community.

Angela is a life-long learner who is passionate about making a difference in our world. She's an engineer, designer, researcher, community developer, public health worker, and educator with a demonstrated history of working in our global community. She believes in the power of healthy relationships and that fostering communities can change the face of our world. She believes that access to quality education can transform the lives of all and can't wait to see where the students of Empowr go!

Simran Brar (she/her) is a busy mother of two vivacious teenagers, an Engineer by education but a Teacher at heart and a proud wife to a man who has been an incredible ally. Simran is also the Vice President of Engineering at Okta, an Identity and Access platform. Being the daughter of a single mother in a developing country, she truly believes in the power of the youth and the responsibility that we all carry in uplifting them to fulfill their dreams. It all starts with education and teaching them skills that can present unbounded opportunities and evolve our communities, one generation at a time.
